Put down thy cane and walk!
So, the end of May brings us very close to complete healing. Jeff is using only a came occasionally now. His leg is growing stronger each day. The healing from surgery is complete, and he is working now and strengthening the leg. After little use for 2 1/2 months, it has grown very weak. But there is improvement every day. We praise the Lord for His graciousness toward us. He has been our constant companion and comforter. We thank so many of our friends also who have lifted us up in prayer, sent cards, notes and checks. So many have given to us, called, come by and continued to check on us throughout these months of recovery. It has been such a blessing to us. It's interesting to me how we struggle through times like these, see God work, grow closer to Him and learn to know Him more intimately and then dread and avoid at all costs the next struggle that may be waiting for us. The pain and the struggle are good for us when we allow them to produce what God intends for us to learn. I want to learn to embrace these times and embrace the One Who allowed them.
